Google Home app
Activate Bluetooth on the Google Home app with 6 steps:
- Open the Google Home app.
- Tap and hold the tile of the device you want to pair via Bluetooth.
- Select Settings (gear icon).
- Go to Audio.
- Select Paired Bluetooth devices.
- Tap Enable Pairing Mode.
Next, you’ll need to choose which kind of device you want to pair and take the appropriate steps.
Mobile device
- Go to Settings.
- Select Bluetooth.
- Toggle Bluetooth on.
- Select the name of your Google Home speaker.
Windows
- Select the Start button.
- Type in Bluetooth.
- Select Bluetooth settings from the list.
- Turn on Bluetooth.
- Select the name of your Google Home speaker.
MacOS
- Click on Apple Menu.
- Select System Preferences.
- Look for the Bluetooth icon.
- Turn on Bluetooth.
- Select the name of your Google Home speaker.

But before you start, make sure your Android device and Google Home speaker are on the same Wi-Fi.

Then, on your Android device, take these 5 steps:
- Go to Settings (gear icon).
- Scroll down and select Apps.
- Go to Google Play Services.
- Select Permissions.
- Choose Microphone and toggle the slider to On.
