#1: Bluetooth

However, for some reason, you can’t link SoundCloud as a music service to Google Home Assistant.

Google Home app

Activate Bluetooth on the Google Home app with 6 steps: 

  1. Open the Google Home app.
  2. Tap and hold the tile of the device you want to pair via Bluetooth.
  3. Select Settings (gear icon).
  4. Go to Audio.
  5. Select Paired Bluetooth devices.
  6. Tap Enable Pairing Mode.

Next, you’ll need to choose which kind of device you want to pair and take the appropriate steps.

Mobile device

  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Select Bluetooth.
  3. Toggle Bluetooth on.
  4. Select the name of your Google Home speaker.

  2. Type in Bluetooth.
  3. Select Bluetooth settings from the list.
  4. Turn on Bluetooth.
  5. Select the name of your Google Home speaker.


  1. Click on Apple Menu.
  2. Select System Preferences.
  3. Look for the Bluetooth icon.
