Can you get Paramount Plus on your Samsung TV?
You can get Paramount Plus on your Samsung TV by downloading the app from your TV’s app store. From there, install it and sign up, or log in to your Paramount Plus account to start streaming the content you want to watch.
How to get Paramount Plus on Samsung TV – 3 steps
#1: Find the Paramount Plus app on your TV’s app store
To begin your journey of accessing Paramount Plus on your Samsung TV, the first step is to make sure your TV is connected to the internet.
After that, you’ll need to find the Paramount Plus app on your TV’s app store.
On Samsung TVs, it’s often called Samsung Smart Hub or Samsung Apps.
That being said, you can follow these 5 easy steps:
- Press the Home button on your remote control.
- Then go to Apps.
- Select the Search icon (magnifying glass symbol).
- Type in Paramount+ and select it.
- Then, choose Install.
Note: The Paramount Plus app is only compatible with Samsung TVs from 2017 until the
present.
#2: Sign up for Paramount Plus (new member)
If you’re already a member of Paramount Plus, you can skip this part and go to step #3.
Otherwise, you need to sign up and create your own account.
Tip: The best way to do this is via browser on your smartphone or computer.
Upon account creation, it will first ask you to choose your subscription plan.
As of August 2023, there are 2 subscription plans you can choose from:

When you’ve chosen your plan, you need to fill in your personal details together with your email address and password.
Lastly, it will ask you to register your payment details.
Your account is now ready to use.

#3: Log in to your account
When you’ve created an account, you can use the credentials to log in to the Paramount Plus TV app on your Samsung TV.
You can log in through 2 ways:
- Via TV.
- Using the web.
On the TV
To log in through the TV, simply use the email address and password that’s connected to your Paramount+ and choose Sign in.
On the Web
If you log in using the web, it goes a bit differently.
You can follow these 5 steps:
- You’ll see a website that displays an activation code.
- Write down the code since you’ll need it for the next step.
- Go to paramountplus.com/samsung on your computer or smartphone.
- Fill in the activation code and select Activate.
- Your screen will refresh, and you can start streaming.
Voila!

Alternative ways to stream Paramount Plus on your Samsung TV
#1: Apple AirPlay
If you have a Samsung TV that is Airplay 2 compatible, you can stream content straight to the TV via your iPhone or iPad.
Simply tap the AirPlay button (a square with an arrow pointing up) while you’re streaming and select your TV.
#2: Connect your laptop or desktop to your Samsung TV
If you happen to own a Samsung TV from 2016 or older, it won’t have native support for the Paramount Plus app.
Fortunately, I have a straightforward solution for you.
You’ll require just 2 things:
- An HDMI cable.
- A laptop or desktop computer.
Then, follow these 3 easy steps to enjoy Paramount Plus on your older Samsung TV:
- Connect your computer to the Samsung TV using the HDMI cable.
- Launch the Paramount Plus app on your computer.
- Select the content you want to watch and start enjoying!
Note: When watching Paramount Plus content from your computer, you also have control over playback right from your computer.
#3: Use a streaming device
You can also get access to Paramount Plus by using a streaming player.
Simply download the app on your smartphone or tablet and connect it to one of the HDMI ports from the TV.
Here are a few of my favorite streaming players:
#1: Apple TV box
One of the best options is accessing Paramount Plus through an Apple TV box (4th and 5th Gen).
Apple is known for its good image quality and great sound specifications.
And to set it up on your Samsung TV, simply connect it to the HDMI input.
Keep in mind that the Apple TV box 4K is a bit higher priced than the competition.
For just under $145 USD, you’ll get 4K resolution and a storage capacity of 64 GB.

#2: Roku Streaming Stick 4K
The Roku Streaming Stick 4K is an excellent choice and is priced at just under $40 USD.
It’s easy to install, supports 4K HDR, and includes a remote with voice control.

#3: Chromecast with Google TV 4K
Google’s Chromecast is another superb option for just under $36 USD.
It comes with a voice-controlled remote and supports HDR and 4K.
#4: Fire TV Stick
Amazon offers various versions of the Fire TV Stick, but my favorite is the Fire TV Stick 4K Max, which is available for under $35 USD.
It comes with a remote that has voice control and supports HDR and 4K.
